I need some help. I have a procomp BVK1A motherboard to which I connected 1 128MB PC133 DIMM in slot 1, a 700MHZ AMD athlon, and a Voodoo 3. I powered up the machine and nothing... so I switched the RAM to the second DIMM slot. It posted (forgive me if I use the wrong terminology); it showed the pretty little screen that tells me my processor speed and shows how much RAM the machine thinks it has. The first time I did this it tells me I have 64 megs of RAM. This is currious for it is a 128MB DIM; so I reboot... 64... reboot... 64...reboot 128! But now the keyboard doesn't respond so I can't get into the BIOS or set the boot drive. No beeps lights, nothing. So I reboot a couple of times to no avail. Then after rebooting about 4 times the machine refuses to post... no monitor signal... no beeps... just a black screen and spinning fans...
Could someone please help?
