Help! Problems with motherboard

I currently have an MSI 648 Max motherboard with the following hardware:
Radeon 9700 Pro graphics card
pc2700 ddr333 Ram (2) 512 MB@
3.06 Ghz CPU with 533 FSB
With 200 GB Serial ata harddrive running through the card.
on board sound
on board LAN

Every time I reboot I need to clear the CMOS and now it comes up with CMOS battery low and I can only use one of the 512 MB sticks of RAM. I am considering buying a new motherboard. What do you think the problem is or what mother board would you recommend to support this hardware??
