Basically, my computer is perfectly fine upon boot-up. It runs at 100% of its possible speed. The memory doesn't get hogged up. Yet over a bit of time, I reach a maximum of how many things I can open- and this max continues to shrink. It's really bothersome, because when I'm trying to check something quick, I have to find other things to exit out of (weatherbug, speedfan, etc), and then restart when I need to go above whatever number of windows I am allowed.
I have 0 hardware problems- this is strictly software.
It's like problems I remember getting in 98 when you needed the pagefile, but disabled it. Say I start a program that needs to initialize (system mechanic is one), it will, but not show the initialized program. A check with the task manager says sysmech.exe is running, but it cannot be found on screen.
Not a video problem-
When I open folder this will happen too. That last folder that I can manage to open shows the contents, and the EI-like nav-bar below the blue-top of the window- But no file-edit-view-fav-tools-help bar in between the two.
The left-pane w/ "files and folder tasks", "other places", and "details" doesn't show either.
It's almost as if the execution of some command doesn't have the resources to finish through- except I pretty much have an ocean of resources available (as far as folders go)
Some help would be great- I've found little online
