The link to my system is below first of all. Whenever I try to shutdown it goes through the motions and I see the Windows logo screen saying Windows is Shutting Down and all but then instead of shutting down a black screen comes up that says Windows Protection Error You Need To Restart Your Computer. Does anyone know what might be causing this? I don't use any of the power management features like system standby or anything either. I'm lost on the cause of this. I have all of the latest drivers including the latest BIOS flash for my motherboard. Thanks for any help and suggestions.

Nevermind I figured it out but thanks alot for the advice. I traced it to Norton Antivirus. Somehow it was conflicting with my setup and causing me to hang. Must not have been undoing it's drivers right when shutting down. I uninstalled it and now everything is normal again. Time to find a new antivirus program hehe. Good thing I was still on the free trial for that one :)
