Ok. Here is my problem. I have been makeing movies with windows movie maker. I was origanally hoping to download the movies to youtube. The problem was the movie maker has its own format called MSWMM and youtube can not take that format. ( they take .avi, .mpg, .wmv, or .mov) I've tried changing the format by importing and it brings up messages like this. The file is not a supported file type, and it cannot be imported into Windows Movie Maker. I really have not idea what i can do to change the format from MSWMM to avi or mpg. I also tried downloading a software from the internet called AVS Video ReMaker 2.3 (which said it could change MSWMM to avi) and when I tried to open the movie it said this file can not open, the format is not supported. Last I tried to see if maybe I could find some updates to Windows Movie Maker on there website because maybe it wasn't supported be cause it is not a recent version.(the version is 2.1) Windows website had no updates that I could find. If you can tell me how to change MSWMM to avi or mpg that would be awsome. Please respond if you have an idea. Thanks

Don't use the program but a quick search turned up this:

What is an .MSWMM file?

A .MSWMM file is a Windows Movie Maker project file. By saving the project, it allows you to return to the movie and make modifications at a later time. However, if you're satisfied with the movie and would like to upload and share the result through YouTube, you will need to choose "Save Movie File" under the "File" menu (which is different from "Save Project", which creates the .MSWMM file).
