I've been trying to locate a very rare item (in the US anyway) that is imported from Eastern Europe and I found 2 small stores that sell it (in Denver and NYC). The problem is, I live in Detroit. I need to pay for the items at a distance and rely on the sellers to ship them to me. What is the best method of payment to ensure that neither party loses money? They are both small businesses (probably family owned) so I'd like to minimize their hassle as well.

Any advice from ATOT?

The cost will be about $150 - 200 dollars.

No deadlines.

Well, the b/f's parents are from Poland and they hand with ppl from Eastern Europe all the time. They are a pretty tight knit bunch. I will ask them if they know where some can be found. If they don't know, they will ask around.

Also, VeggieFrog will be coming in from the UK in August, I can ask her to look around for some.

Edit: I am really close to NYC. Do you know the store they have it?

Go to your local liquor store or call around, I bet somebody can special order the stuff for you.
