help...Power Supply problem???

I just got an amd recommended 350 watt PS on thursday...Today it did two random reboots...and often had trouble doing a restart...I thought it is the pS and switched back to my 250 watt (which I had been using fine for months now but felt I needed to upgrade to accomodate all my ide devices and case fans) and it works fine...

Also during a bootup all the lights on the cd-roms were flashing wildly and it would never get to windows screen just kept restarting, screen flashing each restart.

PS right?

Well I did notice that now the FDD says it has failed at bootup (was working fine and I have not unplugged it) I know it is getting power cause the light is on but stays on...I tryed ide cable both ways (though I know I had it right) and no difference.
Either way I disabled FDD at bootup and I can do everything fine.

Could this have caused the PS to act funny? Or could the ps tweaked it? I am thinking about leaving it disabled and try PS again and see if I get same activity...It didn't do it thursday, friday or most of saturday...just all of a sudden. Not hot at all, doesn't smell funny...

It is a Herolchi 350watt w two fans...Has nice big sticker saying amd recommended and I compared specs to sparkle and it was right on.

Could just be a coincidental failure of the FDD causing problems. You're getting a new one anyway, and a new cable I hope, so get going so you can test that new PSU again before the warranty gets cold.
