HELP! Possible Hard Drive Problem

My computer has froze only 1 time in the last 2 years. It froze 4 times today. I could hear the hard drive click, then start up again, and then it would freeze. It just started doing this today after I copied mp3 files from one dir to another as well as playing them in Winamp. It seems to not like Winamp or playing Mp3s and surfing the net at the same time all the sudden?

It is a pretty new hard drive, month or so, WDC 80gb 7200RPM 2mb. Do I need to go buy a new hard drive and backup all my data?

Please help.

Yes, that would be a good idea. Pick up a copy of Drive Image while you are out. You may not need it right away because most new hdd's come with cloning software, but it is useful for a full system backup/restore in case of trouble.
