help plz

i use remote assistance fairly regularly to help friends/family but the last month or so everytime (well only 2 times) ive gotten the remote assistance request no problem, but when trying to connect i get an error.

i just assumed it was something on their end (like firewall or something) but when it happened the 2nd time it made me wonder if it was mine .... thinking back i think the last time i was able to connect to someone was before i upgraded to SP2


so...
does anyone here recieve remote assistance and know that their pc is setup to work right? and if so im wanting to try to connect to you. so i can verify if its a problem on my end that i need to figure out, or if its on the other end.

Have you checked your firewall settings since you loaded SP2? They usually set everything to "on" and so you may have to disable them.

yup, ive even turned off teh firewall and still no go
