HELP! Plugging Line-in into SBLive!

PLEASE HELP!

I'm trying to plug in my stand-alone DVD player into my line-in on my SBLive in order to record audio from a DVD. However, I cannot hear anything out of my computer speakers.

I am using a stereo RCA cable connector that from my DVD player to my SBLive card (I'm connecting into the black port on back of the card itself). I know my speakers work fine. I just don't think I've configured my SBLive properly because I've had this problem before when trying to plug my guitar into my line-in on my SBLive. Any suggestions??

Thanks! 😱

Hi, Accreta!
I beleive you need to configure the input through the SB mixing console found in the Creative Audio HQ application to hear the sounds. Alternatively, you can use the Windows volume control. Hit Options, then properties, then adjust volume for recording. You should be able to hear the incoming sounds now (assuming nothing is muted).

Best,

Stutz

does anyone know of a good troubleshooting guide on the internet for using line-in's and recording with SBLive? To be honest, I don't even know if I am plugging my DVD player into the correct line-in port or if I am even using the correct RCA adapter.

by the way, all of the volumes are turned up (playback and record) and none are muted.

HELP!🙁
