I have 4 install prgrams that work just fine. I was wondering if anyone know of a program that will make them one install. SO one runs them the next and so on.

Thanks

I'm curious...is this a one time install on a PC (in which case it doesn't seem worth the effort), or are you trying to automate a series of installs to many machines (say, a whole office full of them). If the latter, then you could try writing a .BAT or .CMD file that calls each separate SETUP.EXE for each application. This would work if they are all in well known locations, and if they behave properly. It may fail if the SETUP.EXE for any of them is simply a "launcher" for another application (as is the case with a self-extracting InstallShield executable, I think).

Can you provide more details on what you are doing?

It is for a group of PC's (1500) I was thinking of a bat because all the programs will be on one cd. But one of the files is a launcher. So that wont work.

It still might...

If order is not important, put the launcher at the end, where it doesn't matter.

If order is important, then you may be able to introduce a delay for long enough to complete the previous install.

Will these be interactive installs (i.e. Select install directory, click Next, etc.) or do they just do their thing with predetermined settings or options (not uncommon in an office environment)?

BTW, what the heck is Heatware? I see lots of posts with links to it, but why?

Great point. I will have to try that. One is a interactive install and the other three are not.

Heatware is a buyer and seller rateing system. SO if I sold you a computer part I will go to heatwave find you username and post an entry telling how the sale went and you will do the same for me. That way you kno wif a person has a history of not paying.
