Have fdisked an 10.1 gig IBM ATA33 harddrive for a second system and after formatting attempted to load Windows Me onto the computer. (Windows Me is the upgrade version and should load as a clean install after asking for Win 95 OEM disk for verification).
Anyway, setup will only load part way and will then come up with an application error indicating that SUWIN caused a GPF in module KRNL386.EXE at 0001:73BB and then System Error stating Divide by zero or Overflow Error.
On another attempt at setup an application error was shown indicating that SUWIN caused a GPF in GDI.EXE at 0001:36OE
These faults appear to happen after the win95 disk is used to verify the Win Me upgrade.
Have also tried WIN98 OEM with direct boot off CDrom and it to fails in its installation.
Have tried drinking smoking and thinking bad thoughts but it hasnt helped.
In the various attempts to load Win Me I do rtemember a message about the DOS version as being incorrect.
Anyways if you could shed some light it would be fantastic.
Thanks
