Help please Windows Problems With Xvid.dll

I have a folder with videos in it that keeps closing when i open it.
It gives me the error message explorer.exe error AppVer: 6.0.2600.0 ModName: xvid.dll

It contains some mpg videos and it shuts down the folder and refreshes everything. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and what i can do to fix it?

I had several codecs installed and i have uninstalled all of them and reinstalled xvid to see if that fixes the problem.

Nothing works. PLease help
