Help Please, Win8 MC Not playing TV

I have been running WIn 7 and WMC well until I upgraded to Win 8 yesterday. My sat tuners are two Pinnacle 7010ix.


All went well and MC correctly found my 2 satellite tuners, correctly found the satellites, showed a maximum for signal quality, listed loads of channels, and downloaded the relevant EPG.
Great so off I went to watch some TV and - NOTHING - all channels give the "There is currently no TV signal detected for this channel" message.


I have reinstalled, rescanned, tried a transpoder scan, all repeatedly with no change at all.


Music and picture library work, but no TV at all even though it finds the tuners and the channels ?!?!?!?
Any help on this would be greatfully accepted, thanks for reading.
 
My guess is that the tuners aren't compatible with Win8, but I've never used those tuners (don't have them here in the US).
