When I am in windows, everything will freeze except for the mouse pointer. I can move the mouse pointer around, but I can't click on anything and everything else gets frozen.. This happens all the time and I can't have my computer on for more than 10 minutes w/o it freezing... Is this a problem with Windows? Is it my RAM? CPU? I have a Celeron 300 overclocked to 450, and I'm running Win98..

I was thinking it may be a software problem because the entire computer doesn't freeze (I can still move the mouse pointer around), but I'm not sure..

Well, I'm not sure it helps, but I experience similar lockups when I bump my case by accident. An old second hdd that I use as D: is sensitive to vibrations/bumps, and causes the lockups when it hangs.

Try the CPU not clocked. If this doesnt happen then I think the OC is taxing your computer too much. Then I would try to bump up the voltage a little and see if its more stable.
