Hi, am new to the world of video gpus and am having trouble deciding which will do what I need it to for an upcoming laptop purchase (and not break the piggy bank).

NVIDIA GeForce 6600 Go, ATI Mobility Radeon x600 and the ATI Mobility FireGL v5000 are each featured in the contenders with a 1.8 Centrino. For stuff like AutoCad, Photoshop and ESRI GIS (including Spatial Analyst and 3D Analyst), which would be good? Would they all fit the bill?

Not a huge gamer, but want a card that won't draw too much power and can get the job done efficiently and without draining the battery!

Does anyone have any advice?

(If if matters, the three laptops are a Toshiba Satellite, IBM Thinkpad R51 and the new HP nw8240)

Thanks!

For CAD applications you would probably be better off with the FireGL, since it's geared more towards 3D applications and less towards games.
