alright, so i just got my sp2004c in the mail today from newegg and i went ahead and installed it into my system. the drive came with it's own molex->sata power adapter, so i used that too.
i power up my system and i see that the sp2004c doesn't even power up. i found it quite odd and i turned off my comp and put the adapter onto a different molex connector, still no go. so i thought maybe the power adapter given to me was faulty and since my main drive was a sata diamondmax plus 9 drive, i tried using that adapter on my sp2004c, and it still wouldn't boot up. something's definitely wrong here, so i tried plugging in the new adapter onto my dm9 drive and now my dm9 won't power up. wth?? since dm9 also had a regular molex connector on the drive itself, i tried connecting the molex straight from there. nope, no power up!
is there a chance that this new adapter pretty much killed my hd's? this is extremely bad, since i absolutely need my system in order to finish some projects.
