I just got this new mobo & Duron 700. I managed to install and run it.
I looked around the BIOS setup, curious of what they can do. I changed the CPU clock from 100 to 132 & the speed too. I just wondered if that could fasten up the processor in some way (overclock?)

But then when I re-boot, it won't start. I got a black screen, that's all. I can't even GET to the BIOS to reset the values. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Help, please..

There is a jumper on the board called JBAT11 I think. The jumper is currently on pins 2 & 3. Unplug your machine and put the jumper in 1 & 2 for a few seconds, put teh jumper back on 2 & 3 and plug yourself back in. That restores the bios defaults. You will have to change everything again. You should use Fuzzy Logic 3, its for download at the MSI homepage.

Press the "Insert" button when you boot up and should startup at default speed of 700Mhz. Go quickly into your BIOS (key under "Insert" which is delete :) ) and change those settings back to default! No KT133 board can handle 132FSB! Set it bck to 100... or if you want 105 should work for you, but no more than that. In the future don't overclock with such a high number... always start off low!

I think the CPU is damaged. I have tried the JBAT1, and still nothing.
All of the four Diagnostic LED are red. Oh well...

Is there a possibility that the Mobo is damaged too?? Should I just pick up a new processor and try it on the Mobo now? I'm just afraid that if I put in a new processor, it'll get damaged too.

or if that's too much for you,you can always reset the bios by temporarily removing the m/board battery (with the power off!):)

How do I know if the mobo is damaged? Seems like it's okay, I mean, the fan is working, the hard drive is spinning. But there's nothing on the screen. So, I guess that the processor is damaged. Am I correct?

Turning the computer on and off a few times will usually set it back to the default settings.

Did you try pressing insert? When I set my FSB to 115 and when it didn't boot up the "insert" key worked for me.

have not had to do it often with the MSI baords, but abit boards were always easy to reset by unplugging the power supply a time ot two, sould not have fried the cpu just trying to overclock a bit;)

have ya got good cooling ?

just hold the 'insert' key while you press the power switch and hold it until the screen comes up then go into bios and set it back to whatever u had it on b4 :D

you wont have killed the mobo or CPU, dont worry
