Complying is not a problem. However, in trying to set up my profile so that I'm not a merciless victim of SPAM, I'm finding the implementation of the member profile extremely cumbersome. Perhaps someone can assist?
I do not know how many forums I've been a member of over the years, but displaying email info is a touchy subject. I notice that members have altered their personal profiles so that their actual email is not immediately availible when their profile is accessed. THis is usually done on this form with a 'REMOVE' message or similiar in the body of the email address, to prevent spambots from stripping off their email info. Trying to comply with the moderator's wishes, I went back into my profile and tried to alter my email address in just such a manner, so my profile would be publically availible to members, but without leaving myself unduly exposed to SPAM. Unfortunately, I' having great difficulty in simply making this alteration to my email, then setting my profile to 'public'.
Can anyone, a moderator or member, please offer some guidance here?
Thanks a bunch.

Put in your valid email address. The members didn't alter the profiles, the forum software automatically added the word "remove" into the email addresses. It will do it for yours, too. Welcome to the forums!
