I seem to being having moment of stupidity...

How do I figure the memory speed at 4:5 and 3:4 ratio....

I am sure this has been asked before but I seem a bit confused...I am running at 1:1 on Abit It& max2 rev2....166fsb

so if I get PC3200 and do 4:5 will I be 166:200 or is that 3:4 ratio?

4:5 = +25%
3:4 = +33%

FSB x 2 + ratio = DDR speed. (2 x is for DDR)

166 x 2 + 25% = DDR415
166 x 2 + 33% = DDR441

Another way:

FSB x 2.50 for a 4:5 ratio
FSB x 2.66 for a 3:4 ratio

166 x 2.50 = DDR415
166 x 2.66 = DDR441

thanks...so PC3200 would still need to be overclocked to run at 166 and 4:5...hmmm

outpost has 512 PC3200 for $60 wonder if it is worth giving it a try to see if it would do DDR 415
