Help Please FX 5700 Ultra

Hey I just bought a brand new PC and custom built everything. Its quite nice. The only problem so far is that when I play games the screen seems to have the square pixels in places and they don't go away. Soldier of Fortune 2 Multiplayer was the only game so far that hasn't had any problems. Star wars Knights of the Old Republic only seems to pixilate during cinimatic scenes that are straight video. (if that makes any sense.) I have no idea why this would happen. I updated drivers and everything and nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated. My specs for my computer are in my signiture.

I tried underclocking the card and that seemed to help...anyone have any ideas whats going on?

this is the second card in 2 months from nvidia that i have had a bad exp. with i am just not ready to deal with any more of it at this point

Do you know if the fan was working properly? What you described sounded like an overheating problem...not that it matters much, but that would be my guess.

yes i checked and my case has a fan that blows on the card itself ....it was frustrating because even tho i had all the fans the card was idling about 36 degrees C

Only 36C? That's one cool 5700 Ultra...

it was idling at about 36 degrees C and running at about 55 degrees C which seems cool for what you are saying but i was getting artifacts and it wasn't running well at all
