This is not my week - too many problems on too many computers to count.

The problem du-jour (or du-hour) is that when I put a DVD in the DVD Rom (a brand new no-name in a new shuttle SK41G) it plays the audio, but no video on the screen. Everything else video-related seems fine. Athlon xp1600 processor, GF3 Ti200 Card (w/ latest drivers) and 512 MB PC2100 DDR.

Any thoughts.

Thanks

Sounds like a video problem as the drive is putting out good data (as is evident by the fact you're getting sound). Perhaps some fresh drivers are in order. Good luck!

Mmm... it seem it's an overlay problem. Try to lower the resulution or set it to 16bit and see if it works (make sure you do this before launching PowerDVD or WinDVD) I belive Nvidia has some Overlay Video settings in their driverset...

there is nothing wrong with your pc, it is the latest copy protection encoding. Get "dvd region free" to play the latest dvds on your pc
