HELP! Plaque in my water system!

There is what appears to be a yellow/white film in my water tubing of my CPU cooling system, and I'm not quite sure how to go about cleaning it, or what is causing it. I've pretty much ruled out galvanic corossion since it's an all copper system, and bacteria is unlikely since it was distilled water with coolant additives. Advice anyone?

run some bleach through? i dunno about that one though... it might mess something up?

edit: clean it manually... tie a cleaning pad or something to a string and pull it through.

Then run some bleach through to kill any microscopic stuff? someone let me know if bleach=no good

as far as keeping it from coming back... get some pool or dehumidifier or something chemical tablets that'll inhibit growth.

Fill the whole system with nail polish remover and run it around for a while

I don't know if that will work, but it would sure kill anything that's living there and clean up the gunk. The question is what it would do to your pump and tubbing:Q

Yeah, I was thinking bleach too, but I'm not sure if it reacts funny with copper or not. Plus, the tubing wouldn't be that hard to clean, but since it's in the tubing, chances are that it's in the pump, the block, and the radiator. Anyone ever dealt with this before?

I've seen people use hydrogen peroxide to clean out their nasty watercooling setup. Just run it through a bit, then let it sit, then run it through, let it set etc. It is safe for all types of hoses, and if that stuff is bacteria, it'll eat it alive.

Rubbing alcohol will also work, but it won't be near as fun as the peroxide.
