Help plant 20 million trees $1 = 1 tree

I just shredded 3 huge bins of paper, and your post made me feel guilty. Enjoy your 20 new trees, Mama Earth!

Now to enjoy all that sweet, sweet free oxygen...

I've either planted, or allowed at least 20 trees to grow on my property. I also try to selectively cut line at work if I run into a tree that interests me. I think I'm good without sending money

Makes me want to get a house with some land! My buddy bought a place a few years ago that has fruit trees on the property & has had amazing yields lately, I'm super jealous!

This has been trending on Youtube for a bit now, started with everyone challenging MrBeast to plant 20mil trees, so he started this. The money is going towards Arbor Day Foundation which is an organization that plants trees. Just donated myself.

That's actually a pretty cool project...it's amazing how social media can actually influence the world!

Weyerhaeuser plants 150 million trees per year. Should I send them a buck?
I guess they're one of the lumber/logging companies? I was going to post the same thing, should I donate a few bucks to my local lumberjacks? (*Well, I don't know any in my state, but there's plenty of them up further north.)

I guess the idea behind this organization is that they are planing in places that would normally not be planted. Lumber companies are cutting trees, and then replanting them because they are suppose to, and because they want to be able to harvest them 30ish years from now, so while they are still doing good by replanting, they're doing it more as part of their business obligation.

I honestly don't know exactly what the ADF does, but I'm skeptical of planting trees. Trees aren't habitat by themselves. There needs to be a group, and they need to be left alone. A more interesting way of spending money is buying land. Trees will be there on their own if the land is left to handle it.

Yea but the ecosystem of their single spies of tree forest is sterile. But its better than a parking lot :_)

Pretty much. Too bad there is so much misinformation. Planting trees isn't the best way to sequester carbon and a lot of the United States used to be grasslands and is now forests. Wildlife that requires grasslands is plummeting. Trees alone aren't great for conservation either.

I just chopped a pepper tree the roots was destructive and the pepper balls are messy. I love trees but the mess is just too much
