HELP!! Pin 6 on my vga monitor cable broke off!!

How do I fix this??!!! The cable cannot be disconnected from the monitor, so I can't replace it. Pin 6 is actually used for Red Ground. Can anyone help??

Go to Radio Shack and buy a new connector then carefully cut away your old one, strip the wires and connect the new d-sub. That really is the only gauranteed way of making a permanent fix.

Sometimes the grounds are all connected together. Try it and see if it works anyway.

try it out and see if it works. if not bust out the soldering iron and wire yourself up a new one.

It still works, but you'll see a slight double image of red because of the noise I assume. I guess I could try reconnecting a whole new d sub connector, but damn thats a lot of trouble. Any other suggestions? I'll redo a new connector as a last resort. Thanks for your help.
