Ive been browsing around newegg and ive establushed that im getting a 9800 pro for its combination of price and perfomance. The only thing stopping me from placing my order is thta there are som many brands to choose from: Power Color, Saphire, etc. I could really use any sugestions you guys might have in regard to the brand and the differences among them.

Thanks a lot !!

I got went with powercolor for a friend's computer. He's happy and it works well. I see the Tyan is the same price now and the memory is 6mhz faster. I would probably have gone with that one if it was available at the time. So, I say Tyan.

They all follow the reference design. Just go with the cheapest one. Maybe one that costs a buck or two more if it offers something the other ones don't or it's a bigger brand name. Tyan is a big brand and it's the cheapest 9800Pro. It seems like the best choice.

wow, didn't know that tyan came down in price. Deffinitaly them then, with their ability to detect temperature and heat spreaders.

ok thanks. one more question? what do u guys think about the stock cooling on these boards. MSI and high tech seem to have very good stock cooling. Or should i just opt for something else like thermaltakes Giant II? Thanls again

if you are going to go away from stock cooling then i would put a vga scilencer on a sapphire or ati card and ram sinks
