Help picking card for Battlefield 2

Micro Center is runing an X850XT for $199 after 50 rebate if your budget can strech it this is by far the best Deal for an AGP card around.

well i realized that if i really want to get useable performance for BF2 , i just cant do it on $100 budget. so now im looking at mor eliek $180-250.

i know the rebate makes it 205, im just saying i still have to put up 255, who knows how long a rebate could take. i just wanted to make sure the x850xt was worth it.

A lot of people have recommended teh 6600gt yet you seemed to have dismissed those

Well, at least people have posted what you can expect from the more expensive videocards...

I see Firing Squad included a number of these cards in their recent review of the 7800GS, which they benchmark on Battlefield 2 (among other programs). Note that they are using a fast processor, a FX-53.
