Last night the power flickered off for a second while I was using the PC...rebooting it... then 2 seconds later it flickered again - and now the PC won't come on at all. Everything else (tv, monitor, audio, lights) is back but the PC box is dead.

I press the power button and it doesn't feel like it used to. It used to "click" and hold when it was turned on. Now I click it and it just clicks back out to the "off" depth.

Another thing I noticed - my cable box is no longer showing the time, seems to be working ok otherwise.

What does this sound like? Am I fried?

Thanks

Doesn't sound good bro. One thing you can try, I think some of the power supplies have kind of a circuit breaker built in. You could try unplugging the power supply and leaving it unplugged for a minute or two and then plugging it back in. Also check the outlet it''s plugged into with a lamp or something to see if the outlet is cooked.

you could try a new power supply if your options are looking grim. also after you get past this fiasco invest in a battery backup or a nice surge protector. i have a cheap surge protector and it works great

I have a surge protector... that thing with the strip of plugs... the monitor is plugged into it and is fine.... so seems the power is flowing.

I'll try unplugging and moving the plugs around.

It's not like there was a lightning storm last night... there was nothing.
