Nothing you can do other than let it dry completely before plugging it back in and hope that it still works. If you don't let it dry completely before plugging it back in, you will more than likely fry the built in amplifier in the speakers and none of them will work. A speaker itself won't be damaged by water, but the amplifier that powers it would be.

Also, to dry it faster, put it in front of a fan or something. Putting it in a pile of clothes will make it dry slower because it doesn't have any air getting to it to help make the water evaporate.

It's possible.. No way to really tell until you let it dry completely and try it again.

Yes, that would help it dry much faster. The combination of heat and airflow should dry it out very well.

well, i think I dryed it now; I used a fan for a few minutes then hair dryer directly on it with distance of 1-2 inches for like 2-3 minutes and used a magnifier and a lamp to see if i can see any sign of wetness(like drops) and I see NOTHING but it waz hard to tell bcoz of the outer fabric covering..shud I test it now?

dude... do you have any patience at all? I mean you are almost as bad as a 4 year old... Letting them dry out COMPLETELY means like wait a day... I hope you didn't fry anything because just an hour may not have been anywhere near enough time.

Unless the person had a mouthful of water the amount of spit isn't enough to do much damage. Either let it air dry or use a hair dryer if you can't wait. Most speaker cones today are made of a blend of plastic so a little moisture isn't going to harm them anyways.

I think you would get a LOT more help if you reposted this in off-topic. Keep in mind there can be residual contact degradation over time, causing all sorts of problems.

You need to find the person who spat on it and then spit on them. This will reverse the polarity of the spit on your speakers making everything ok again

First thing you do with any electric device and water is unplug it as quick as you can. If it is something like a phone/mp3 player pull the battery . Don't try to see if it was effected. It takes about 4-5 seconds for water to usually damage a circuit. It doesn't conduct well usually, but leave it long enough and it will do damage.
