Help- PC power up when phone ring !!??

I just build PC,all was smoot till I plug in old PCI US robotics modem. It connects to the net just fine, exept when PC is powered down and the phone rings, it COMES BACK ON !!! I do not have the original driver for the modem, windows loaded default driver durring initial setup. Can't find anythig in the control panel under "modems" "set up" , that would help. Anybody any clue ??

I would guess Wake on Ring is set to ON in your bios, enter your systems bios and disable this feature (it's normaly under the power managment section of the bios) and it should solve your problem. Hope this helps.....

Check the Power section of the Bios, Wake on ring is disabled, no change . I will try to install new modem see if it goes away.
