I have an older 733 that I use to run Linux on. One day (I made no changes on the system) it started to reboot itself as it was loading linux. The PC got through the bios then rebooted while loading linux. I put the PC in closet untill I had some time to dedicate to it. I decided to try install XP. I swapped the harddrive and removed any thing not needed. As I was installing XP the PC rebooted itself. It would usually reboot after formating the drive. I got a new motherboard MS-6309. The first night I was able to go through an entire install of linux. The PC ran well through out the night. The next day the PC started rebooting itself. When the PC reboots itself now it usually after I log in and I have been working on the PC. Should I get a new power supply. In the BIOS I have selected for the PC to be in an off state should the power go out. If it is a power supply problem wouldnt the PC stay in the off state when the power failed? Suggestions would be appreciated.
