Hi, I'm on my way with this, but could use some help taking it a bit further.
Would like to hit a stable 3.4Ghz. Currently running @ 3.0 Ghz, only problems I have now is the system always hangs at shutdown & won't shut off.
334 X 9
NB Voltage - 1.40v
DDR2 Voltage - 2.20v
All other voltages - auto
Had Dram Frequency at DDR2 800, that bumped up to 1002Mhz after I entered 334 X 9.
Have run 3DMark06 with no problems.
All other settings are stock/auto.

Any ideas on what other settings to change and to what to reach 3.4Ghz? I plan on tightening the timings after I hit 3.4Ghz. And then comes oc'ing the vid card.
Thanks.:beer::D

what is your vcore at? and Vtt (fsb voltage) upping vcore manually is necessary, especially for kentsfields. also, what is the VID and stepping on your q6600? mine is a 1.25 G0, which is pretty good. if you have a B3, you may be maxing out. Also, your NB V seems a bit high.

Vcore is on auto, sitting at 1.26v, Vtt is on auto & I don't know what that voltage value is. I've tried setting the Vcore manually at 1.25, 1.35, 1.30, and windows will never boot on any setting, the max as printed on the box is 1.35v..
My Q6600 has the G0 stepping, and I' guessing that's the VID since it's on auto.
And since your post I've knocked the NB voltage down to 1.30v, PcMark06 will work fine, but I'm getting some hanging in windows now, and this comp still will not shut down at all unless I do it manually...
but that's where I'm at so far.:D

vcore can go up to 1.45-1.5 volts with kenstfields if you have good cooling. try between 1.35 and 1.425 to start, is what I recomend. what are your load temps like? what program are you stress testing with?
