I've been experimenting on overclocking my athlon 3000+ venice and I reached a max stable overclock of 2.25ghz with FSB at 250. My ram's pqi turbo 1gb pc400 and mobo msi k8nneo4-f.

Problem is whenever i try to raise my fsb above 260, prime95 would detect errors already. My temps never seem to go above 35C idle and around 45+ load.

if you can't get the system to run stable at higher clocks and your temps are still good, yes.

Lower your RAM speed. Unless your 3000 isn't a Venice core, chances are good you won't need to start adding voltage for quite a few hundred more Mhz.

Well I did lower my ram speed when raising fsb. Problem is crashes would start happening when I boot up. :|
