Call me an idiot but I cannot get the board to overlcock. I am trying to set the RAM lock @ 133MHz, FSB to 250, and multiplier at the default 9. The clock speeds regardless of what I set the system to, stays @ 1810... Any ideas? It will only retain changes upon reboot if I adjust ram speed alone 1:1. Thanks...

Your system crashes inbetween that is why you always see 1810 (fail safe mode boot).
Check your HT multiplier, it must be 4x.
There is a bug that prevents running an odd cpu multiplier (5,7,9) with 133Mem lock. It is workable using clockgen. Boot at 200 FSB and up the FSB within windows, with clockgen.
To find alternative OC combinations (avoiding the 133 mem lock) and to see the real memory frequency your computer is running use the calculator below. MSI bios misreports Current DDR Memory using the simple calculation: memlock divider x FSB: THIS IS NOT THE CASE, things are a bit more complicated.

All right, I will definitely try your suggestions. Same thing happens with 166MHz also though, is this expected? I have the HT set to the default 5x, I will try 4x, but why must this be changed? I don't understand why we need to underclock that; sounds like you are quite knowledgable can you explain this. Thank you so much for your help and response(es)

Your Hypertransport frequency is what crashes your system 5x250=1250 (default 5x200=1000)
You must always be below 1050-1100
If your system crashes when you enter HT mulitplier menu in BIOS change it using +/-

I get it now; told you I was an idiot. I assumed it had to be something simple. I appreciate the help very much. I am learning that Mushkin RAM sucks for the Athlon 64, any suggestions as to what is the very best for highest FSB with the A64? I can only get the Muskin to go to about 410DDR with this board @ 2-4-2-10 2T, but perhaps this was because of the HTT being at 5x, not sure how high that is willing to go....

Now that I expect you to be my personal tech support guy, but you may know these answers quite readily too, if not thanks for trying:

1)Is the Athlon 64 antivirus automatically turned on by installing SP2, is there a way to confirm it is functioning?

2)I notice that NVMIXER will not run on this board, says it cannot find nforce hardware, but of course this is an nforce boards. Any experience with that?
