I got a k6-2+ 500 chip on my asus p5a-b board witht the newest drivers that reconizes it as a k6-2+. However i can't get it to 600, it runs, but even at 2.2v it kicks me out of starsiege tribes. I dont it's safe to go to 2.3 is it? I mean it is /18 microns and a mobile cpu, max i can get with this is 2.0v and 550. Please help, should i go to 2.3?

I was going to do the same thing until my MOBO fried. I think you want 2.0 volts. The heat might be getting you my friend. If my memory serves me than you want the jumper config for 2.0 times bus freq. this will also double as 6.0 and SHOULD get you to where you want to go. I think Toms Hardware had a story on this quite some time ago.
