Help! Overclocking Attempt Causing Weird Problems...

I was originally overclocking my locked 1GHz CPU at 1150 (10x115) with no problems, but ran into stability problems when pushing the FSB above this (no post). When I unlocked it, I decided to use the multiplier to push the CPU over 1200. I eventually tried 9x136MHz. 1.80v. Everything booted fine. Running a looping demo from 3DMark2000 indicated that the settings were stable, and temps were a tad high but okay (47C). But somewhere in this process I ended up with a bizzare problem where just the JPEG images in my IE browser, and in Office 2000, are corrupted when displayed. Having changed the settings back to 10x100MHz, the problem remains. They look fine in MS Paint and PhotoDraw 2, though.

Other graphics images look fine, such as .gifs. I replaced the .flt files in the Common Files folder from my Office 200 CDs but to no effect. Also, my cursor has this little green block for a background that is noticable when the cursor is positioned over anything black. Annoying.

Installed Netscape and the problem is there as well, although JPEG images are slightly easier to make out in Netscape.

Finally, the audio in UT now sucks. Pops and scratches. Reinstalls of the X-Gamer drivers and UT did not fix the problem. Audio sounds fine in other games, though. Weird. Reinstalled DirectX 8, BTW, but to no effect.

I'm assuming that my overclocking led to these problems, but I don't know if I hammered the audio card with a too-high bus speed via the multiplier, or if the hard drive got hammered, resulting in some file corruption, etc. Regardless, can a 9x136Mhz overclock cause this, or is the only expected risk CPU overheating?
