HELP: outlook 2000 trying to send via fax instead of email

I've got a win2000 system here with Office 2000 installed, and Outlook is set as the email app. When Office was installed, the Symantec Fax app that comes integrated with it was also installed. The system can receive email just fine, but about 30 seconds after an email is sent outbound, the fax app jumps in and says that the email address is not a valid fax#, and tells me to enter the fax# of the recipient. Does anyone know how to shut off the fax app to stop it from jumping in and trying to fax email, or better yet, how to uninstall it completely? It doesn't show up in add/remove, and it doesn't have its own start\programs entry... anyone...?

(edited for spelling)

thx.

The brute force way would be to delete the application folder for the FAX package.
