Working a power supply/power button issue. Replaced ps and now the computer comes up on the post screen and freezes. Discarded the cmos by removing power, battery and jumpered the 2 mb pin. It must have reset because the cpu speed is showing as 266 instaed of the normal 400.
Memory comes up as total memory...I do not see a count. Cursor is stuck under the last digit of the number.
It will not respond to alt+ctrl+del or DEL to get me into cmos setup.
Awaiting here at the client's for your help. TIA, Paul

Go bare bones. Disconnect all the cables except the (green/white?) power switch wire to the motherboard (or leave it off and jump it). Remove everything from the motherboard except CPU, RAM, and video. Clear the CMOS again and try a reboot. What happens then?

Rob

Edit: Uh, nevermind about that stuff above then! ;) Good luck!

Update--old, possibly flakey ps boots. Test unit freezes at memory count. Putting back together with old ps. Call VAR tomorrow and let him know that he sent me out with duff antec ps.
Thx for the speedy response. Anandtech bbs people are the greatest!!! Paul
