I am looking for something special in particular, a marquis cut diamond of about .25-.33 carats, in a twisted setting, i want it to be unique, and special, but every jewellery store i have been to i have been dissapointed. I was wondering if anyone had any access to making their own jewellery, or perhaps know of any good websites, etc.

I appreciate all suggestions!

WTF is a promise ring?

EDIT: and no, I will not "ghook" you up.

It is a ring that promise that you will be together long enough to get a real engagement ring.

Don't you watch That 70's Show?

It ain't "ghooks", it's "gooks." Go ahead, ban me. That's what we used to call them.

<--VN vet. 😀

Oy. .25-.33 carats? You really shouldn't bother. Not to be a raging cynic, but a diamond that size is just not worth it. You'll end up with essentially a really shiny piece of sand.

Save, get an engagement ring, be happy. My 0.02.

Promise Rings = Something young or immature kids buy for their girlfriends.

Grow up and buy an engagment ring already, or don't freakin bother at all if you're too young or immature!

Own stock in De Beers or something?

umm, i actually thought that was a nice size for what i have to spend, i looked at a few and thought they were nice...
Honestly, if you want to go that route, don't get something with a diamond in it. You can get some absolutely great jewelry for the likely price range you're considering if you leave the damn rock out of it. Maybe get something now with her birthstone (likely to be a LOT cheaper than a diamond) and save for a quality 1-carat+ stone when you get engaged for real. I hate to sound old and cynical, but the whole "promise ring" thing is pretty much a crock and a waste of money. Either get engaged and do the deal or maintain status quo.
