help out a noob please

I am having some trouble with my dvd burner. I am a "noob" and don't know a lot about pc's-kind of computer illiterate. I need help if somebody could-I am trying to make back up copies of my dvd's. My kids scracth them up fairly fast, and I have a nero dvd burner, but if i try to make a back up, it gives me a message that the dvd is copy protected, and it won't allow me to copy. This is frustaring because then I am forced into buying the same dvd again, and it gets pricey, but until my kids learn better care for them, i really could use help being walked through this. please email any responses to hungryhippo78@hotmail.com

also-the same problem pertains to the kids xbox video game machine. is there a way to back up their games to avoidspending $50 again and again due to scratching? thanks

Use the Advanced Search link on the left side of the page and search for "DVD" here in Software, you'll find a bunch of threads on it. Change the search to "archived threads" for even more.

Xbox games can't be copied unless you have a modified / "hacked" Xbox, and then you can't use Xbox Live. If you can't teach the kids to be careful there is the FS/FT Forum here, as well as the used games sales by EBGames, gamefly.com, Blockbuster, etc.
