HELP - Optimizing GF3 performance

HI guys,

I just got a new 1.4 T-Bird w/ a GF3 card. But I can't Counter Strike to go past 60fps in 1024x768 OpenGL! My fps_max setting is at 100. I tested the max at 55 and it maxed at 55, but it won't go past 60 no matter what I do!

Please HELP!! Thanks a lot!

Go to the Windows display properties, then into advanced videocard settings, and basically right-click on everything and read the help that comes up. It's a great way to find out what's good for performance and what's good for improved video quality...

I wouldn't disable V-sync though, it will cause page tearing - and besides, why would you want more than min. 85 fps? 🙂

Good job, old fart!!

Sorry, always wanted to say that to someone, and with your nickname being "OldFart" and all, it worked out great 🙂 🙁

Old fart has the answer but no explanation........

I'm assuming you are running Windows2000. For thoes that do not know, W2K is stuck at a refresh rate of 60 and you need the pacth to be able to fix it....

Just an FYI 🙂
