Does anyone know if it is harmful to the backlight life to repetitively turn the monitor on and off?
An example of this would be: letting it go to sleep after being idle for 5 minutes, then having it turn back once unidle, and back and forth in this pattern.
Or does anyone think it is better for the LCD backlight if the monitor were kept on at all times?
Would turning down the brightness setting prolong the backlight's life?
Any and all responses welcome!
