What is the Ultimate MOBO that has all the features you will need and more. Do not say the VNF4 Ultra because I do not have a price limit. I want it to be high quality and stable. Very overclockable that will be easy to OC even for me who has never OC'd befor and this is my first PC Build. I'd like a PCI-E and AMD compatilble. Also SATA, and lots of USB. Keep in mind alot of realy great features!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🙂

will you need SLI? Otherwise get the UD version. give it a little bit. you posted at 12:50 AM and then again 20 minutes later....

and check out anandtechs' review of the lanparty. it smokes

I also found This which will work perfectly and it has support for the better ECC memory which I found 1 gig for $103.39. This matched pair should be really fast and stable.

LOL
Watch as the OP shrieks at the price needed to obtain such uber l33tness 😛

its always funny to watch people ask what is the ULTIMATE and then go "no freakn way" (too expensive, too fast, etc.)
there is never an ULTIMATE anything, everybody has a price point

ASUS A8N-SLI deluxe (or Premium - I dunno what the difference is).

It has 8xSATA, 4xIDE, 10xUSB2, 3xFirewire, 2xGigabit LAN, 2x 16xPCIE(SLI), 2xPCIE, 3xPCI, dual channel RAM, and all the usual extras like RAID, and all the great ASUS BIOS features(AI Proactive, Crashfree BIOS 2). Has heaps of overclocking options (not quite as many as the DFI - but it's not as picky with RAM either), and ASUS is the undesputedy king of stability.

Will cost you about $200.

RoD

I'd go with the DFI Lanparty SLI mobo. It's pricey but not too pricey and has quite a few nice features.

And it's apparently very overclockable.

for what? you must be a total complete noob as most m/b have had sata for more than a year. also, what are you using it for, server? gaming? cad/cam? and saying you don't have a budget is f*cking stupid, wasting your money for overcompensation in other areas for parts that will only depreciate is ridiculous...

I was assuming you guys knew that it shouldn't be redicoulus ovwer priced anywhere from $150-$250. Also what I mean features is like on Abit boards they have uGuru and like on the asus board I showed you it had a bunch of ports like Game and up to 10 USB.

Well I know that most mobo have had SATA just wanted to throw that in there just in case you recomended some piece of crap board without it. I'm gonna use it for gaming and I think I will be going with Asus A8N-SLI Premium.

dude, this is not toms, this is a highly educated board with ~118,000 members. some people here do have $10,000 "workstations" for different types of cad/cam, 3dmodeling, etc, so yeah, quite a few peeps are running dualies, some quads. we don't read minds.

by the way, the asus board you picked out is a good board, asus has a good rep for being stable, nice prices with a good amount of features. are you definately going to use sli? abit, asus, msi, dfi(ram finicky) are good "enthusiasts" boards, chaintechs are nice if you don't o/c. epox is probably in the middle somewhere.
