I forgot what key to mash to get into cmos in my Sony Vaio lappy?😕
I' putting in a new HD, and i need to get it to boot to cd-rom to install the os.

Ok. i put in the recovery cd and it took it, but it only saw 7169.6 m?, then it saw a D drive at 2144.11m? (btw...it's a 30 gig hd)
so what is going on? The recovery cd has win 98se on it i think, and the HD probably had been formatted to NTFS . (got it used, but in good shape) What should i do? Go back, put WIN XP in and let it reformat it? I was wanting to put the original os on it and then upgrade it to XP PRO.

Try fdisking the drive. Type fdisk at your DOS prompt and then switch to the new drive and see whats going on with it..
