hyundai pc133 128mb

when i plug everything in...and turn on my computer....
it hang up on me right after the memory testing step,
(more detail: when i turn on the computer, first is the logo for the video card, then i heard one single beep so i suppose the motherboard is working,
then it showed that energy star logo....detect cpu....do memory testing...
right after it finish the memory test, then it stops.....nothing happens afterwards)
i have trid memory on my other computer..so i know it is working.

any idea what might be causing this problem???

I just bought an ABIT KT7-RAID. I had a similar problem with it hanging on boot. After extensive trouble shooting, it came down to the USB cable connected to my APC BACK-UPS 500 USB. It boots up perfectly after disconnecting the cable. Don't know if that helps.

Also, could it be a reversed IDE cable or something?

Please post your outcome. I'm interested to hear what happened.

I have had a similar problem. When I make a change in the BIOS, on reboot, I cannot get past the mem check. So I shut down the system by clicking off the pws and then it reboots.😕

you're going to have to clear the cmos.
there's a jumper on your mobo right of the 4th pci slot. it says cmos on it (the jumper should have the right two pins covered).
unplug the power from your comp and your mobo. switch the jumper. plug in the mobo and case and press the on button (nothing should happen). unpulg them again, switch back the jumper and boot up.
hope that helps!
