I am looking for opinions on stable, problem-free kt266a boards.

For the past three months i've been researching a ton about athlons, and hardware in general, not knowing what a pci slot was in the begginging lol, and for the past month i have been messing with multiples of ECS K7S5A and it has been nothing but hell. I messed with that thing forever getting advice and having pro's look at it, but no luck, so i trashed it and decided to start over with a kt266a board. After everything i went through with the ecs, i just want a board thats going to be fast and not cause me any problems, i really dont care about the price too much at this point. I just want my computer hehe. I first jumped at the epox 8kha+, but seeing the percentage of people having problems with it already i'm getting a bit scared. Haven't looked much into others.

SYSTEM:

Antec SX635 Case w/ Antec 350 w p.s.
1.4 ghz t-bird 266 fsb
512 (2x256) mb's of crucial pc2100 ddr non-parity unbuffered ram
IBM DESKSTAR 60 GXP Ultra ATA/100 20.57GB 7200 rpm
Thermalright SK-6 Extreme (ab)
Asus v8200 64 mb ddr Nvidia Geforce3
think those are the basics...

Someone please tell me a board that will just let me have my pc hehe,
thanks alot guys.

Most of the stuff you read in these forums is from people having problems. They are a very vocal minority, and rightfully so. There is a lot to learn from them, but you don't read about the success stories that the vast majority of users experience... So it's easy to get discouraged if you don't know this. Remember, in computing and in life, "there ain't nothing dead, solid perfect."
