Help on computer assignment (getting desperate, will pay $)

First, I'd like to say I'm not trying to get anyone to do this for me.
I have an assignment to do for my ITEC class, and I have no idea where to begin. I can't find any info from Google, my professor won't help, and no one else in my class knows how to do this stuff either.
If anyone could give me some pointers, or even a webpage that discusses this type of stuff, it would be greatly appreciated.
Please help

ok, I'm getting desperate.. if you actually know how to do this stuff (not just from info on the web) I will gladly pay a few bucks for some help.

put that in the title of the thread, just edit the origional post

Mmkay. Sounds reasonable. What they ask you is to build a decision tree (a binary tree), and to build it, you need to select nodes in the proper order, so that the tree is the shortest possible. To select nodes properly, you need to weigh each one, given the algorithm of decision vs outcome. I'm not sure how to calculate totals, but I haven't given it much thought.

Once you figure out node weights, you can align them accordingly in your tree.

Woohoo, found a classmate who actually was able to get help from the prof and showed me how to do it! I guess he doesn't like to help out guys, only girls..
