Hi All
My current 1 yr. contract just ended yesterday so my wife decided to use another cell phone provider. I was using "ATT" and now we are trying "Cingular".

So we dropped that and through my wifes work we she got a a little off of the monthly bill anyway the new phones we got are frigg'n junk. And I was hoping to get some input here through all of you people here that actually have a good flipup phone.

OK, the first one I tried (took it back already..it sucked) was an LG-C1300 DO NOT get this. We actually bought two of these, one for me and the other for my daughter.

They both did not work in my house and when we did get them to kinda work outside it sounded like talking in a tin can, and this is a brand new cell. They both DID NOT work. The dude over at the "Cingular" outlet told me that it wasn't the phone it was me being in a bad location...yea, right.

I told him my other cell worked great in my house, he then shutup as he saw I wasn't buying it :)

So I exchanged the LG-C1300 flipup this moring with a Samsung X427 and after charging it for a few hours I thought I would give it a try...same thing pretty much. Also taking it outside kinda worked and I do mean kinda.

So instead of me going back over to the "Cingular" outlet I thought I would come in here and get your opinions on what "Cingular" outlet flips are the good ones. Or maybe it actually takes a few days to burn in a cell phone, heck! I don't know...help!!!

Cingular sucks. Jesus. I know people with cingular and they always, ALWAYS borrow my phone (Verizon) because they don't have reception. It's ridiculous, and I know the problem isn't just in California (where I live) but in other places as my cousins in Michigan are always without service as well.

I live in Torrance and I have Cingular. Reception can be affected by the phone you're using. I used to use the Nokia 3390 and I currently use the Motorola V600. I dont have any problems with either.

Also note. T-Mobile currently leases their towers from Cingular in California. Rumor has it that Cingular is going to switch over the the recently purchased ATT towers and sell their current towers to T-Mobile.
