Ok OK, I am so damn Jealous, my damn wife won a canon powershot sx20 IS at a price that would gag a maggot on the cheap end. Trust me, you do not want to know how cheap or you would be as sick as I am after buying a used Canon XSI with a lens or two at a mere decent price.
But included in her purchase was 4 AA alkaline batteries and no battery charger. Not sure at this writing if they are even rechargeable, but after reading the fine print, Canon says that rechargeable nickle metal hydride batteries last longer and are therefore recommended.
SAY WHAT?????????????? I already have some of those AA nickle hydride batteries and a charger, but they are damn near worthless in terms of holding a charge, and they deplete at damn near the speed of light unless you very frequently keep recharging them. Precisely what will not fit my wife's usage habits in terms of occasional use.
Can anyone give me some lithium ion AA battery options that will hold a charge for a far longer term? And the cost of those batteries and a charger to go with them? Trust me, my wife can more than afford the convenience.
