Would this support surround sound?

A word of caution: Aureal has gone bankrupt. There will not be further driver updates. Vortex is supported in 2000 with limited functionality and in XP many people have had great difficulty making it work consistently. Support for Vortex is absent from many Linux distributions. If you are satisifed using 98, Vortex is an excellent product. I use it in a 98 box from listening to MP3s, DVDs and watching TV with 4.1 channel speakers. So in asnwer to your question, surround sound is supported.
